Twelfth European Big Data Management & Analytics Summer School (eBISS 2024)

Introduction

We are pleased to announce the Twelfth European Business Intelligence & Big Data Summer School. This summer school, presented by leading researchers in the field, represents an opportunity for postgraduate students to equip themselves with the theoretical, practical, and collaboration skills necessary for developing challenging Business Intelligence applications.

Approach

The summer school will provide a stimulating and enjoyable environment in which participants will benefit not only from the formal and practical sessions but also from informal and social interactions with established researchers and the other participants in the school. To further facilitate communication and feedback all attendees can prepare and present a poster on their own research. The electronic copy of all course lectures will be available to participants through the web site.

Participants

We welcome applicants from anywhere in the world. Normally, but not exclusively, applicants will be postgraduate students in relevant disciplines with some knowledge of data management and analytics.

Accepted candidates are expected to be present at the venue on Monday, July 1st, between 8 am and 8:30 am and to participate fully in the activities of the school until it ends on Friday, July 5th, at 3:30 pm. We will not consider applications from students who cannot commit themselves to full participation for the whole duration of the school.

Participants can also bring a poster (A1 paper format) describing their own research to the summer school. Two special sessions sare dedicated to the poster presentations.
