Accommodation and Practicalities

Accommodation

We plan to host the lecturers and most of the participants at the Stallmästaregården hotel, a charming four-star hotel within 20 minutes walk from the school venue. We will provide accommodation for selected participants at a special rate. We normally ask participants to share a twin room (you will have a chance to indicate the person with whom you would like to share the room). The cost of the accommodation, to be settled directly with the hotel, amounts to little less than 600 EUR for the whole school per person (in a shared twin room). Exceptionally, single rooms are available at around 1,000 EUR per stay.



Financial support: While applying, you will have the chance to request financial support and explain why this is necessary for you to attend the school. This normally takes the form of a 50% reduction in the cost of accommodation. In exceptional situations we may consider a 100% reduction. This is only for participants staying in double rooms. Under no circumstances we will be able to provide support for travel costs.

Important: please refrain from finalizing your travel itinerary until your application to attend the school has been accepted. In particular, please do not book a room at the hotel before your invitation is confirmed and the organiser inform you on the booking procedure.

The hotel is located at Stallmästaregården, Stockholm.

School Venue

The lectures will take place at House 4, AlbaNova University Center, Hannes Alfvéns väg 12, 114 19 Stockholm. The map below is for house 2, which is next to house 4, just because Google Maps acts up when you put in "House 2".

Meals

Breakfast will be provided at the Stallmästaregården hotel, included in the accommodation price. Lunch will be provided at NORDITA at no cost. With the exception of the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner, evening meals will not be provided.

Getting there

It is easy to reach Stockholm by rail, ferry or plane. We encourage all participants to be mindful of their carbon footprint while planning their travel.

The Hotel can be easily reached from the airport by express bus, and from the main station by public transport.

Important: please refrain from finalizing your travel itinerary until your application to attend the school has been accepted. In particular, we advise you against booking non-refundable travel tickets before you receive an invitation.
